CS2 Watermark Feature: FPS, Ping and Cheat Information

CS2 watermark feature shows FPS, ping, tick rate and active modules on the screen; We examine what it does, customization and stream security.

What is the Use of Watermark Overlay?

In CS2, a watermark is a small layer of information that constantly appears in one corner of the screen. It allows you to follow the current FPS value, server ping and tick rate without opening the menu. For CSCodep users, its main purpose is different: to show at a glance which modules (Aimbot, ESP, Triggerbot, Radar) are currently active. Especially in rounds that require a fast pace, verifying the status from the text on the screen instead of entering the Insert menu and checking saves time. Watermark also shows you how many days your license is left, so you can spot and renew your 40-day or 400-day plan before it expires.

What Data Appears on the Screen?

The default watermark row lists five key data in order: instantaneous FPS, ping in ms, server tick rate, active module shortcuts, and license expiration date. Since the PX8.2 architecture reads this data directly from the game loop, it does not create an extra performance cost; The FPS drop is practically unmeasurable. Optionally, the HWID Spoofer status and the last synchronized cloud config profile can also be added to the line. The information is compressed into a single line so that it does not take up too much of the screen and does not disrupt the viewing angle when aiming.

Position, Color and Content Customization

The Watermark's position on the screen can be fixed to one of the four corners or can be freely dragged pixel by pixel. Font size, background opacity and color theme are adjusted individually from the menu; It is possible to choose a low contrast theme and hide the watermark in the background almost invisibly. Which data to show can also be turned on or off line by line — for example, only FPS and ping can be left and module names can be hidden. All of these settings are saved in the cloud config system, so your watermark layout is automatically restored when you change computers.

Watermark Risk in Stream or Screen Sharing

While watermarking is convenient when playing with friends, it poses a serious risk when live streaming or screen recording; The module names on the screen are recorded within seconds and cannot be undone. That's why there's a separate panic shortcut in the CSCodep menu that completely hides the watermark with a single click; It is assigned to a different key by default and can be changed from the main menu. Testing this shortcut before launching and verifying that the watermark has actually disappeared is much cheaper than the cost of a minutes-long check. The same shortcut applies in instant scenarios such as Discord screen sharing.

Using Watermark Efficiently in Daily Use

The most practical way to use Watermark effectively is to keep only the data you need on the screen. While ping and tick tracking are important in a competitive match, module status may be more critical in deathmatch practice. You can create separate cloud config profiles for different scenarios and change the watermark layout according to each profile. The watermark feature is offered the same in both CSCodep's 40-day and 400-day plans, and does not require additional fees.
