CS2 Map Callout Information: Gaining Advantage by Combining with ESP
How does callout knowledge of game maps provide a high level of advantage when combined with ESP? Dust2, Mirage, Inferno details.
Why is Callout Information Important?
Seeing enemies with ESP alone is not enough — you need to be able to use this information effectively. Knowing map callouts allows you to accurately convey ESP information to your team, develop strategies based on enemy positions, and optimize rotation decisions. ESP + map information = full map control.
Dust2 Callouts and ESP Usage
Dust2's critical positions:
- Long Doors/Blue: AWPers' favorite position. If there are enemies here with ESP, do not go to Long.
- Short/Catwalk: Mid control starts from here. Knowing the number of enemies in the short with ESP affects the A push decision.
- B Tunnels Upper/Lower: How many people are in the tunnel is critical for B push.
- CT Spawn/CT Mid: Rotate information — You can see how many people are returning from CT to B with ESP.
Mirage Callouts and ESP
Mirage is a map that can be won especially with mid control:
- Mid Window: Is the AWPer here? See it with ESP and do mid push accordingly.
- Palace/Ramp: Entrance paths to a site. Knowing how many people are at both entrances with ESP makes site acquisition easier.
- Jungle/Connector: Rotate path — With ESP, you inform the rotation of the connector.
- B Aps/Short B: B Aps, seeing the enemy peeking through the window with ESP saves lives.
Strategic Information Sharing
It is important to appear natural when conveying ESP knowledge to the team. Instead of "There are 3 people in B", it is more convincing to say "There was a sound coming from B, the weight seems to be there". Give general guidance instead of giving precise information (number, position). Imply that you are getting information by looking at the radar or hearing a voice.
Rotate Decisions with ESP
If you are playing on the CT side, ESP gives the most valuable information in rotation decisions. If you are waiting in A while the enemy team's 4 are going to B, you can strengthen the defense by rotating early. But rotating too early is questionable — a real player will rotate when they hear the bomb direction or when their teammate calls out.
