CS2 Cheat Security — VAC Detection and HWID Protection

Our approach to VAC detection
VAC does two things: it scans for signatures of known cheat files and it reviews player behaviour statistically. Against signature scanning the software is rebuilt after every CS2 patch; against behavioural analysis the default settings are deliberately low-profile. We also cap the userbase at 100 slots — the narrower the distribution, the lower the chance a sample reaches Valve.
HWID Spoofer and hardware bans
A hardware ban is heavier than an account ban: making a new account does not fix it. The HWID Spoofer masks the hardware identifiers the game reads, which is the only way back onto a machine that already carries a hardware ban. It is included in both packages.
Keeping your account safe
- Play on legit settings: a wide FOV with zero smoothing is the fastest way to collect Overwatch reports.
- Do not play aggressively on your main account — suspicious players end up in manual review.
- Never share your license key; it is bound to a single HWID.
