CS2 Cheating Terminology Glossary: ​​All Terms from A to Z

Aimbot, ESP, RCS, HWID, Desync, Resolver... Dictionary with explanations of all terms of the CS2 cheating world.

A-B Terms

Aimbot: Automatic aiming software. Directs the reticle towards the enemy.
Anti-Aim: A feature that prevents the enemy aimbot from hitting by manipulating the character model's perspective.
Auto-Fire: Automatic fire when the enemy is in crosshairs.
Fake Lag: Network manipulation feature that disrupts enemy targeting and hit registration by delaying packets sent to the server.
Bhop (Bunny Hop): Automatic jumping script, constantly jumping with perfect timing.
Bypass: A technique to bypass the detection mechanism of the anti-cheat system.

Terms C-E

Chams: Painting enemy models with special materials (neon, x-ray, etc.).
Config: Saved profile of cheat settings.
Crosshair: Crosshair.
Desync: Mismatch between actual angle and server angle in anti-aim.
DLL Injection: A method of installing your cheat into the game process.
ESP (Extra Sensory Perception): Seeing enemies through walls.
External: A type of cheat that works outside the game process.

F-I Terms

FOV (Field of View): The angular area where Aimbot searches for a target. Narrow FOV = including close targets, wide FOV = including distant targets.
Grenade Trajectory: An auxiliary feature that shows the trajectory and fall point of the launched bomb in advance.
Hitbox: The invisible box that defines the character's hit area.
HVH (Hacker vs Hacker): Matches where all players use cheats.
HWID (Hardware ID): The unique hardware ID of the computer.
Injection: The process of loading the cheat code into the game process.
Internal: The type of cheat injected into the game.

K-O Terms

Kernel: Operating system kernel. Kernel-level cheats work on Ring 0.
Legit: A style of using trickery to appear natural/believable.
Loader: The launcher program that downloads the cheat and injects it into the game.
Manual Map: Technique of loading DLL into memory without using LoadLibrary (more hidden).
Offset: The address difference required to reach a certain data in the memory structure.
Overlay: Transparent layer drawn over the game window (for external ESP).
Overwatch: Valve's community-based demo review system.

P-R Terms

Pattern Scanning: A technique of finding offsets by searching for specific byte sequences in memory.
Prime: Phone number verified account status in CS2.
Rage: A style of using all cheating abilities at maximum power.
RCS (Recoil Control System): A feature that automatically compensates for weapon recoil.
Resolver: Algorithm that tries to solve the enemy's anti-aim angle.
Ring 0/Ring 3: Security levels of the processor. Ring 0 = kernel, Ring 3 = user.

S-Z Terms

Skeleton ESP: A type of ESP that shows the enemy's bone structure.
Smoothing: Smoothing the aimbot movement to make it look more natural.
Snapline: The line drawn from the screen to the enemy.
Spoofer: Software that changes hardware identity.
Triggerbot: A feature that automatically fires when the crosshair touches the enemy.
Trust Factor: The secret trust score that Valve assigns to each account.
VAC (Valve Anti-Cheat): Valve's anti-cheat system.
Wallhack: Seeing through walls (general name of ESP).
World-to-Screen: Converting 3D game coordinates to 2D screen coordinates.
